Who we are
Our story.
Our vision.
Baguley Athletic Football Club — affectionately known as The Badgers — is a progressive, community-driven club proud to represent our local area, built on hard work, professional governance and a deep connection to the community we serve.
A new chapter
Every great club
has a turning point.
We aren't just building a football team; we are building a sustainable sporting institution. Driven by an ambitious three-person leadership team alongside Club Chairman and former England international David Platt, Baguley Athletic is transitioning into a modern, forward-thinking club with a clear elite-level focus.
Following a comprehensive restructuring of our leadership and football operations, we have modernised the entire infrastructure — from financial oversight and commercial strategy to match-day operations — and laid down professional foundations designed to withstand competitive non-league football.
We are a club that respects its roots but refuses to stand still. Every training session, every administrative decision and every match-day is executed with a higher standard in mind.
The road to Step Six
Building a club
that can compete.
Our ambition is clear and unapologetic: we are building a club capable of competing at a semi-professional level. We judge our success not just by the trophies in the cabinet, but by the sustainable pathways we create for players, coaches and our community.
The strategic road-map rests on three pillars.

A complete pathway
Leave
no one behind.
The First Team climbing the pyramid. The Development Squad nurturing elite under-21 talent. A competitive, fully integrated Women and Girls setup.
Community wealth building
Grow the
whole area.
Through our community membership scheme, The Sett, we bridge grassroots football and local independent businesses — so as the club succeeds, our community succeeds with us.
Chairman's welcome
“Baguley Athletic is on the rise.”
We are laying foundations that will secure the future of this club for generations to come. Baguley Athletic is on the rise — on the pitch, in the community, and commercially. We invite you to be a part of the journey.
